Please Note: This is not the latest model of the Raspberry PI 3. The latest model is the Model 3 B+

The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B  is a tiny credit card size computer. Just add a keyboard, mouse, display, power supply, micro SD card with installed Linux Distribution and you'll have a fully fledged computer that can run applications from word processors and spreadsheets to games.

As the Raspberry Pi 3 supports HD video, you can even create a media centre with it. The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B is the first Raspberry Pi to be open-source from the get-go, expect it to be the defacto embedded Linux board in all the forums.

Raspberry PI 3 B

By: on 24 February 2018
Had this up and configured in no time its just a great product for development or as a dedicated unit for whatever purpose you have in mind. Set up is easy and there is a whole internet of support. I cant praise the PI 3 enough. Got to get another couple for further projects.

I looked briefly into Micro-computers such as the Raspberry Pi, Arduino and several other systems. The Pi 3 seemed unreal spec-wise. Quad-core processor, a gigabyte of RAM. Powering it up the first time after adding the NOOBS files to an SD Card, everything just worked. Connected flawlessly to my WiFi. Quick (for an SD Card) to power on and setup. Will definitely be adding more to the collection down the line. My main use is for small media box. The OpenElec operating system is the same Kodi on PC. Additional components work without a hitch as well as everything else I have thrown at it.

Fun on a Bun

I have bought 5 Raspberry Pi computers now, and installed Windows 10 on 2 of them and Raspbian on 3. These little computers are wonderful for specific tasks. I have used one as a server and another as a VPN Router. One is running on my desktop as a different kind of PC to my primary PC which runs Windows 10. The other two are being used for special projects in development.

This is the best Raspberry Pi so far. I bought the 7 inch touch display.
