At first glance, it may look like a slimmed-down version of the original Raspberry Pi, but don't be fooled by its small size. This compact and affordable computer has endless possibilities and is perfect for IoT, wearable, embedded, and battery-powered projects.

With just a micro SD card slot, a mini HDMI port, two micro USB ports (one for power, one for USB), and 512MB of RAM, the Pi Zero is the slimmest and most pared-down Raspberry Pi to date. It's equipped with a single-core 1 GHz processor chip, similar to the Pi A+ and B+. But what sets it apart from its predecessors is the inclusion of a camera port, making it perfect for projects that require a camera.

But don't worry - although it may seem minimal, with the right accessories, the Pi Zero can transform into a powerful computer. At a minimum, we recommend a good quality 5V power supply, a 4GB+ SD card with an operating system, a mini HDMI to HDMI adapter, a USB OTG cable, and a USB console cable. You can also add a 2x20 male header strip to easily plug in Pi HATs and other accessories.

To make your Pi Zero experience even more enjoyable, we highly recommend getting a Pi Zero protector to keep your device safe, a USB-powered hub for additional USB capabilities, and a WiFi dongle for wireless connectivity. You can also opt for a mini wireless keyboard with a trackpad or a wireless keyboard and mouse set, both of which require only one USB port for use.
